CRU Awarded Smarter Travel Mark At Bronze Level
The award recognises the CRU's achievements in promoting sustainable travel initiatives.
The CRU has been awarded the Bronze Level Smarter Travel Mark by the National Transport Authority (NTA). The award recognises the CRU's achievements in promoting sustainable travel initiatives. The Smarter Travel Mark is a national recognition scheme designed to acknowledge organisations that demonstrate significant progress in encouraging sustainable travel among their staff and visitors.
In achieving the mark, the CRU demonstrated a commitment to changing attitudes and behaviours regarding active and sustainable travel by implementing measures that facilitate, support and encourage sustainable travel options for our staff and visitors.
The Smarter Travel Mark recognises the CRU as an organisation that prioritises the importance and value of sustainable travel initiatives and the associated environmental benefits.
To achieve the award the CRU put in place measures including:
- A cycle to work and TaxSaver travel scheme
- A secure bike shed, changing, clothes drying and shower facilities
